Memasak 1 : Lemper Ayam
Makanan Khas Indonesia
It is made up of sticky rice and chicken fillings and these area wrap around using banana leaves.

Memasak 1 introduced to us… LEMPER AYAM! It was delicious! Probably the best dish at the Bahasa Night! There was a mixture of taste in this dish, a little sweet and spicy as well! 


Here’s a little more information about this Indonesian delicacy!


This dish is basically made up of 3 main components, the rice, the chicken and the wrap.


The Chicken Meat!


The rice! (in the bowl)



The leaves!

Let me briefly explain to you the steps to making this dish! 

  1. Soak the rice with cold water in a minimum of 8 hours
        2. Thereafter, we need to drain the rice and then steam it over hot water. For more Taste and frangrance to the rice, we stir it in coconut mi;k and salt

        3. Finally we put the rice back into the steamer and steam it for 20 minutes.! 





This is how your rice should look like! 










AYAM!

The chicken you ate that night was made from dada ayam (chicken breast) , minyak (peanut or corn oil) together with a mixture of a few spices such as ketumbar, bawang and kemiri (candle nut). The chicken was shredded first and then cooked, all the delicious spices were pounded together and finally stirred fried together along with the seasonings





SHRED THOSE CHICKEN! 
Mix Them all!

Stir fry!







Lastly after both of these components are wrapped around using banana leaves! Sounds really simple and it taste really good too!
